Department of Energy and Electrical Engineering

Department of Energy and Electrical Engineering was established on February 1, 2012, from the Department of machines and mechanics.

Establishment of the Department was subject to the requirements of the energy industry and the provision of a new study program "Energy", "which was accredited in the summer, 2010.

Study program "Energy" currently contains only a bachelor's degree course "Energy - heating industry." This degree program provides students preparing to energy plants in secondary technical management positions.

The Department specializes in the teaching of courses required for workers in the energy industry with tight binding to practice. In addition, the department focuses on cooperation with energy companies in the form of excursions, professional practice or entering theses. The graduate obtains knowledge of the combined production of electricity and thermal energy, basic knowledge of economics and business management. The graduate will know at least two foreign languages, one active and one passive. His main knowledge will include to work in industry, especially in the heating industry, both in production and distribution of thermal energy.

The aim is to prepare graduates for jobs mean technical manager in the company dealing with the production of thermal and electric energy (power plants, heating plants) or distribution of electric and thermal energy, or corporate energy for non-energy businesses.

Within a short time has become a popular study curriculum. This is evident from the graph showing the increase in the number of students.

Thanks to the interest in the study “Energy” program, personnel department prepares degree program – Master Program.
